  • When You Need Him

    Notes from church this morning:

    • Cane
      • When God kicks it away, how will you stand?
      • God will allow it for a season, but there comes a time when you'll have to stand on your own two feet
    • Work on your mindset
      • Word of God
      • Psalm 34:17 - "The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles."
      • 2 Corinthians 5:21 - "For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him."
      • 2 Corinthians 5:17 - "If any man be in Christ, he is a new creature."
    • By ourselves, we can't be right with God because of our sin nature
    • When we accept blessings by faith, we are made righteous
    • We can call God "Father" because of Jesus Christ
    • Asking God for fleshly things is not good for us
      • "But seek ye first the kingdom of God . . ."
      • When we trust God, He will give you things plus more
      • Wait on God
      • Let God supply your needs in His own manner
    • Wait on God to give you that new car
      • Why do you need it??
      • Many people don't pay their tithes because they're too busy paying for gas
      • If God just gives you a reliable car, paise Him
    • The world is watching how God blesses us
      • They question us Christians
      • We present a currupt model to the world when we can't explain our blessings
    • Learn to honor God
    • When we need God, we must know where He is and where to find Him
    • "The righteous cry and the Lord hears."
    • Psalm 34:19 - "Many are the afflictions of the righteous."
    • God is not in the business of pampering anybody
    • It's time to stop drinking milk and start eating meat
    • "Many are the afflictions of the righteous."
    • Stop thinking church has the obligation of treating you right
    • You are going to be hurt whether you like it or not
    • Have you ever thought you might have hurt someone?
    • "What goes around, comes around."
    • Affliction is a part of Christian life
    • If your church isn't blessing you, you should find another one
      • Sitting at home is denying God
      • When you know God, you will drive--no matter how far--to worship Him
      • Find a place where people come together and worship God
      • Just make sure that they're not preaching hell
    • "Many are the afflictions . . ."
      • The righteous must suffer
    • "But the Lord delivers us out of them all."

I do the Spanish greeting at church every Sunday. Today's "Idea del dia" was: Look forward to circumstances; they are signs that miracles are about to happen. It's amazing how what I say connects to Pastor's message. He always mentions my idea of the day in there somewhere.

    • If everything's alright, you might not be a candidate for a miracle.
    • Just whisper praise and watch Him show up
    • Luke 13
    • Because of a person's dress code, you might think nothing good can happen
    • But Jesus dressed as a humble man
    • Pool of Bethesda
      • 38 years depending on someone
      • One day, Jesus showed up
      • "Wilt thou be made whole?"
      • "There's nobody . . ."
    • When You need Him, He will show up
    • Jesus didn't leave him until he was walking
    • Jesus can deliver you any time
    • "Woman, thou art loosed from thine infirmity."
    • Hebrew 4:12 - "For the Word that God speaks is alive and full of power . . ."
    • Isaiah 55:11 - "So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
    • "Woman, thou art loosed . . ."
      • Immediately, she was made whole
    • Just as the word was spoken then, those same words have the same power today
    • "Many are the afflictions . . ."
    • She is identified as righteous
    • Will you take God at His word today?
    • "Woman, thou art loosed!"
    • In the name of Jesus, you are loosed.
    • "His word shall not return to Him void."
    • When you need Him, He's always there.
    • Will you receive His word?
    • The woman acted when Jesus beckoned her to come
    • When Jesus saw her, he called her to Him
    • Then He spoke

Pardon me if some of the things don't make any sense. It's not the Pastor's fault. I'm just not that good at taking notes? But overall, the sermon was well preached. I think I'm going to take notes from now on.

    Feedback would be lovely.
